Can I leave manual transmission on my 95 drained for the winter?

Just wondering if its bad to leave no fluid in my transmission over the winter. I have my engine out, don't know why I didn't just take it out. I was gonna and I drained it and now the car is in the driveway with an empty tranny and lots of snow around it for about two weeks now. Should I put some fluid back in? Or will it be ok? Or should I quit being a pussy shovel some snow and take it out. Boooo. Lol

the only worry you should have is a little surface rust on the internals, which should wear away almost immediately... As long as snow doesnt get *inside* the transmission, you'll be fine.

I suggest putting the shifter back on, the drain/fill plugs back in, a rubber glove on the input shaft, leave the driveshaft in, and call it good.

might wanna shrink wrap it too.....throwing a plastic bag on it would cause condensation but shrink wrap would keep it nice and clean
