You can swap all heads left to right.
Factory heads will have a plug in the Thermactor system hole in the front side of the heads as they were installed on your engine at the factory. If for any reason you want to switch the heads from one side of the engine to the other during a rebuild you can remove the threaded Thermactor plugs and switch their locations to the opposite ends of the heads, enabling you to mount the heads on the other side of the engine.
If you do not have the Thermactor emissions system on your car all of these holes will be plugged, or if your car is older it won't have them at all.
There are no factory "left" or "right" head castings. There is only one number and they all have the accessories holes for the correct side at each end however they happen to be installed on the engine.
