I didnt even see an x pipe by BBK when I was looking lol. I would rather have an H pipe like I have anyways. Its not in the catbacks is it?

h pipe or prochamber. the 4.6 is raspy by nature and the x just makes it that much worse.

I just need a different x-pipe. I may just wait until longtubes.
If it was me I would wait for the longtubes, cause if you buy a new x pipe and then you get longtubes down the road the new x pipe you just bought was almost a waste... And plus I think your car sounds awesome the way it is, especially in person.

X pipes on push rods = good x pipes on modulars usually sound way to raspy

yeah, thats why i am hesitant to save up and just get a new x-pipe. and thanks, it doesnt sound real bad in person, i can keep some of the rasp down just by the way i drive.

this is a personal preference, i like h-pipes on pushrod motors and x's on modulars. just how i like it, i wont get a H-pipe for my car.

i like the rasp of the x-pipes, i just dont like the super rasp of this x-pipe

sounds like a boat to me with the bubbling at idle. mod motors are raspy with x pipes both of my friends with 4.6 are really raspy. 4v are twice as bad as a 2v though

I know you said you don't want an h-pipe but I had an off-road h-pipe with a mac catback on my old 96 Cobra and it sounded amazing. Really deep and tough sounding at lower RPMS and then screamed when you opened it up. Had a little bit rasp to it but it sounded really mean

What about a DR Gas x-pipe? If you search youtube there is a clip with a white 96-98 Cobra with a DR Gas x-pipe and MAC cat-back and it sounds really good. DR Gas has a unique design compared to all the other x-pipes on the market. They are true X like Magnaflow, UPR, ect... but the X is a lot closer to the engine which creates a really nice sounding exhaust tone. It makes it sound very clean yet aggressive at the same time in my opinion
