Ive had this problem for a while where every once in a while when I start the car it bogs down to 500 rpms and dies, unless I give her a couple of good revs, hold it at 1500 rpm or 2000 for a few seconds and then the problem goes away. It seems to be especially bad the morning after a heavy rain and its nice and humid. Its pretty much acting like a carbuerated engine with the choke not working.

Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and clean it out w/ a good spray carburator
cleaner. Built up carbon will make it stick at times.

Disconnect the neg. side of battery for 10 minutes or so and let the ECU recalibrate
itself too. Also depressing the brake pedal speeds this process up a bit. (Drains power
from the system quicker)

I do this once /year. The IAC valve can be a simple, commonly overlooked item.

If this doesn't solve the problem, at least it's simple and you know youv'e "been there".

Sounds like the IAC to me too, mine went bad at 70k and even if i cleaned it it still made me stall so i just swapped in a new one.
