I have a 1995 gt, 5 speed and I understand I should be getting something around 200 km's (124 miles) for a full tank or so I've heard from most people with these cars. Anyways I'm getting around 100 km's (62 miles) or even less and I don't drive aggressive or anything so what could be some things I could check over?

That's about what i get but i also let my car warm up before i go to work and i only have a 7mi trip to work on city streets. You can get your o2 sensors replaced or checked if a shop has the old style OBD1 Snap on scanner you can see the parameters. Also you can do your normal tune up plugs, wires, air filter fuel filter injector cleaner or a 3 step process from B&G. Also check your timing and also check your HB to see if the rubber has been pushed out.

ah, with the original equipment you can get up to 20-25 mpg x 13 gal means you are getting alot less then you should unless you have modded the car. I just upped my injectors to 24lb to prepair for the next step and noticed that I am down to 150 miles per tank.

^^ Stock fuel mileage in city for our cars was rated at like 17/18mpg, just saying. 100kms a tank is TERRIBLE, check your MAF and do a tune up. I get 200-250kms a tank running a HCI without a tune, before the swap I was getting 300-330kms in the city during summer.

Just like Win said..

Do a FULL tune-up on your car.

Autolite copper plugs (DON'T buy platinum)
Ignition wires
New distributor cap
New distributor rotor
New air filter
New fuel filter
New PCV valve (from the ford dealer, not parts store)
oil change

Cleaning the MAF meter, all you have to do is buy a can of quick dry electronics cleaner from any parts store. Disconnect the meter, remove it from the intake. Spray the inside of the meter on the electronics. Give it a few minutes to make sure it is completely dry.

Done.

I noticed a drop in my MPG's. Just had the MAF & K&N cleaned on it. It fixed that prob. It's about needing a full tune-up though. Might knock that out soon?
