Gas smell and probably a beaten to death topic.

I made the mistake of using the old school extruded rubber lines first time I did an AN fuel system. It was fine for a while (Earls brand too and not some off-brand Amazon junk). Took about 6 to 9 months and I started smelling it if it was parked in the garage for a few days. I imagine over time it would get worse. PTFE is the only 100% guarantee you'll never get fuel permeation through the lines.
I used Earls XRP for 15yrs on my Cobra without incidents. I changed to PTFE during my frame off. I use Fragola on my Coyote. I never had a gas leak or smell with the XRP. No exotic fuel as well. I do agree that PTFE lined is the way to go.

And I think someone already mentioned it, but you gotta be real careful about accidentally mixing/matching one brand's fittings with another's hoses. That's another reason I stick to one brand whenever possible. I've come to know Earls and XRP quite well over the years. It's not sobbery when I say I only buy their products (mainly Earls).

And I can't seem to find that other style for thr other line. Seems like all I can locate so far is this

Most likely a 3/8" feed line. That's what the original size was on the 96 Cobra anyway.

I can't remember for sure
On my 95
I unhooked the lines and had fuel psi comming out of the smaller line that has been a while back
I'll have to check it again when I redo everything in the engine bay

If you are referring to the rubber sliding. That is just the protective hose. The actual line is a harder plastic underneath on the barb.
Also the Tuning Innovations lines are top notch, I have them under the hood and at the tank IMG_4999.jpeg
