black cloud?..

lol but no mine ran like crap just in general and i replaced the main vac line on the intake to the IAC and it fixed all my idle problems and crap mileage. worth a shot to check vac hoses. if your like me and have tons of hoses sittin around may be worth it to replace em. thats just where I would start tho

Make sure no water is coming into your filter. My 96 seems to prefer the rainy days. Maybe even some loose O2 sensors?

check for seal leaks to make sure your not getting water in anywhere that it shouldnt be. sounds like youve got a leak of some sort

Does it sit out in the rain?
Is it running bad after it rains or just when it starts to rain?

My bet is its either fouling your air filter which might be getting your MAF wet (what kind of air filter/intake do you have?), or you might be getting moisture under your plug wires on your cap. Pull them off and look for any signs of moisture.

I would look at the distributor. When it rained, my car would lose spark....

EDIT: Woops, didn't realize it said 01 GT. Forget everything I said.....

When it's running fine spray the coil packs with a water bottle. I've had the boots on my coil packs randomly go bad and when it rained hard my car would start missing.

Usually the first thing to check would be plug wires, how old are they? I really doubt your maf or air filter is getting wet but if the wires are old the extra humidity could make the car run like crap.

I would go with plug wires or coils. Do any of the coil packs have a oily residue on them? If so it may be cracked.

id get under the car....

check the filter to make sure its not getting wet.
make sure the crank position sensor (next to the A/C compressor) is properly installed and its not getting wet. Also, check the wires going to it.
Also, are your splash panels in place (on either side of the motor, plastic protectors)?
are any of the wiring harnesses frayed, broken, or exposed?
