I just got the motor back in my 96 GT and the damn thing wont even turn over. The battery seems to be fine because all the accessories work fine. When I turn the key it pulls power from the clock and just clicks like 3 times. Is there a relay or something that could have gone out? I had the starter tested right before I put the motor back in and it works fine. What do you guys think?

It really sounds like a low battery or a bad connection :dunno:
Thats what I was originally thinking but the battery is fine it hold its charge and all the accessories work fine. Something is fishy... when I turn the key on the battery light comes on and when I even make the slightest push on the clutch it goes off? Im on the verge of pushing this ****** in the missouri before the end of the day. :hammer:

Are all of the block grounds on? Are your starter connections loose? CKP and CMP plugged in? Did you try jumping the starter solenoid? It could still be your starter. How many volts are you getting to your starter? You could've damaged it when putting it back in.

Or the flywheel/motor could be locked. It would seem to me it's drawing the amps, just not turning...

Alright I just got done playing with the voltmeter... the motor will spin by hand check that off. battery has 12 volts. Starter has power but only when the clutch is disengaged... when I push the clutch pedal power to the starter turns off. I tried jumping the solenoid on the starter and it sounded like the Bendix was engaging but it still didn't crank. Should I try checking the switch on the clutch pedal?
