catted x-pipe question

Hi everyone. Im interested in getting a catted x-pipe for my 96 gt, most likely an SLP. Am I correct that if it is catted it will not cause my CEL to come on or do I still need mils?

the catted pipe will not require the mils, is is a legal mid pipe and the light should NOT come on .............mine didnt 8)

its a good chance you will still need the Mils...my Bassani Cat X still triggered the CEL so i had to get the MILS.

thats weird, I've never heard of a catted pipe makeing the light come on ???

it happens alot....thats why most who sell them will still suggest getting mils. I only went with the catted X because they will still get on the ground and look here in NJ at random traffic stops. i'd like to have LT's and no cats....maybe i should move to Florida.

I have a BBK Catted X pipe and my CEL light never came on. Got mine from summit part number BBK-1666
