center console cup holder

So I was at the pick n pull with my friend today and i picked found the center console cup holders for what i believe is the 98 center console. Am I able to just take out the ash tray and put it in, or is there something else i need to do? Btw it is going in my 1996 center console with the ash tray

No go on the drop and go. I did the mod myself to go from my console with an ash try to the cup holder. Personally it was a PITA. Here is a link that should help.

I did this also, it was not bad, had to cut alot of the console away to get it to fit, I CANT shift into 4th with my coffee mug in the front cupholder though :BangHead: Anyways, I used this site, has a template and everything!

thanks guys, I think i will try it. Just dont want to cut it to big, and have to go out and find a new center concole

Cut small and refit. You can always trim more off. My problem was securing it.
