I wasn' bashing anybody with my post, just like some of the other guys said, there have been a lot of these threads lately... get out there and race, let us know the outcome... if you pulled up to the redlight next to a guy in a red Cobra, and he's revving and you're sitting there, are you going to tell him to hold on, you've got to post up and ask the forums who's gonna win, or will it be a good race first? No, you're going to let'er rip and afterwards good or bad, THEN you'll post up and let us know what happened...

Yes, but you don't bring a knife to a gun fight. The guy wants to know how he stacks up. Nothing wrong with wanting to know the odds.

and AGAIN i say... if you pulled up next to me on the street, would you tell me to hold on so you could post up online to see what everyone else thinks? it's racing... there is no bringing a knife to a gun fight... you either go and find out, or you pass it up, and look like a pansy.

Well fortunately for him his friend HASN'T pulled up to him on the street yet ( which I don't care for street racing). So there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking about the odd's.

I guess not, it just gets old hearing the same question over and over... i would rather see results, not 'what abouts"

If you want any chance at all, you better flash the converter. You might have more torque but....your also using a stock converter and if you don't flash it, that car is gonna come out of the hole like your driving miss daisy.

well considering its 2 mustang...with minimal mods...its gonna be close..

94 vs 98 mustang. Theyre pretty close to being equal in stock form.

so auto vs 6 speed one. I think the 6 speed should get the win if he can drive.

I am so at a loss to why everyone thinks that just because that man's car has a 6 speed that it has some major advantage. Being a manuel has an advantage, but it wouldn't make much a difference if it was a 5 speed, what you gain with the 6 speed is closer ratio's, but the disadvantage is that you have to shift earlier and one time more then a 5 speed and you can make or break a race depending on the shifting. Now this guy's 5.0 has a shift kit in it with 4:10's. 5.0's produce more torque off the line, a 4.6 needs it's revs high to make any torque. My vote is to the 5.0

Because if they are matched for power the Auto soaks up more power than the manual.

Yeah, but thats true to any stick compared to an auto. Everyone just seems to be praising the other guys car because it's a 6 speed and not a 5 speed.

yeah thats what im sayin, and my car isnt moded heavily but i think i have a chance against alot of more heavily modded cars due to the fact the way my car hooks up and comes out of the hole. but i believe that 6 speed tranny will be the his worst nightmare instead of a help cause im bettin hes not going to hook up worth a crap.

but were goin to the strip thursday to find out ill let ya know the turn out.

yeah we all know what you are trying to say, but if it bothers you that much then dont read the damn post! just my 2cents
