cheapest place to get my tranny rebuilt

i currently have a t-5 (i know it sucks!) in my car. i beleive the syncrodes are going out becasue it will no shift into 2nd without grinding. luckily i have 4.10s so i can skip 2nd without noticing too much. i dont have the money at the moment to get the transmission i really want right now, so i just want a kinda cheap rebuild for now until i can afford the one i want so my car is atleast a little better. anyone know a of a good place, maybe even near me? im in tx 75068 and 75034.....or if anyone has a good tranny for a couple hundred they want to hand over.... ;D

if you are looking for a cheap option right now, then i would say look for a used trans. online. i would save up, and
look into astro performances' A-5. they have transmissions capable of handling 300hp and up.

thats exacly what i was planning to save for. that or a used t56. astro looks promising though. i called them yesterday to go over all of their details

No need for a T56. If you want one that is one thing.

Save and get a TKO 500 that is all you need.

You can get a 500, Bellhousing and Shifter for under $1800 I am sure.

where? everywhere i look just the tranny runs about $1800..
