Girly and I were at Wally World tonight. Managed to get two complete sets of the new Ford Performance set or whatever. I have a problem and collect basically any hot wheels Mustang sort of thing:
I've been to three different Walmarts, three Targets and a Toys R US with not even one of them. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I have about 400+ Mustang Hotwheels, been collecting them since 2007. A lot of these sets are not sold over here, so I rely on people selling them on Ebay. The prices there aren't bad, but the shipping is killing it. I bought this set on Ebay last week, paid more on shipping then on the Hotwheels themselves, but hey, couldn't let this set slip away!
I have been looking at all the Wal-marts around here for that display. Finally found them at one a bout 2 hrs away. So I got a full set and grabbed all the Foxbodies that I found. I'll be giving a couple of the Foxes to my brother for his birthday. I also pick up a black and gold 1:24 Jada Toys BigTime Muscle '67 Shelby GT500. I have been collecting just about any Mustang die-cast I found for several years now. I'm still waiting for a couple of good 1:24 or larger Foxbodies and SN95's. Especially a notchback Fox.
Received my set today by mail from a guy in Las Vegas. It took only 11 days to get my package here! Also something cool I picked up from the same guy: a Matchbox Mustang in real Bright Atlantic Blue. Really cool!
What bugs me is hot wheels doesn't really make a sn95...you can't count that cobra racecar cause it's not a normal curvaceous sn95...
They did, but in Convertible flavor. Originally in the "New for 1996" series. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
You are incorrect, sir, but you need to look very hard. Of course they made the 1996 convertible in many different colors. Also Hotwheels made 2 versions of the 1996 coupe (with updated taillights). One in blue and one in purple. Both were never regular cars but part of a special set. Of course I have the blue one.
The blue one is from the set "FAO Schwarz History of Hotwheels II" and the purple was in the "Four decades of Pony Power" set
I picked up my set a few weeks ago they had multiples of everything but no fox so that took me a while to find. I also have the grey sn95 convertible at my parents house. I've been collecting for 10+'years and have a few thousand lol.
If anyone wants a set I can go see if they have any more. You can just cover the price of the cars and shipping which wouldn't be much
Actually I do remember seeing that blue one for sale on ebay before. Crazy price though. I know other brands have made it but they're scarce for the hot wheels brand
I picked up 2 sets of the Ford Performance ones, 1 for me and 1 for my son Colton. Also grabbed him the Hot Wheels Focus RS
Finally found the one I wanted. Dug through 3 different Walmarts, two Toys R US' and the Targets. Picked up a friend for her too. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
