miles to me are just a number its not a low production car thats rare so why would miles matter...he wants to re-work the motor anyways and freshen stuff up i see this as being the perfect car for his project if the color really wasnt what he wanted maybe down the road it could be changed...at least he had black interior usually i always see notchs with gray interior...

and greg im looking for a notch as well so if you come across them as much as you say let me know as well...they are impossible to find up here unless its beat to no end...rusted beyond belief or a 4cy. car .....if i could find one cheap i would like to get my hands on one...

I don't think a notch back with a V-8 is all that rare. There were 15,717 hardtops built in 1992. I would be willing to bet that at least half if not more of that number were V-8's. On top of that, it is a car that will never have much value.

It is not just the miles that bother me. The care is to much money and almost 600 miles away. That means driving a unfamiliar car home 9+ hours, or renting a trailer to tow it home with, or a huge towing bill.

well guys I think this thread is pointless, I sent the guy two emails over the last 3 days and have not heard back from him yet :dunno: I sent the first one on the FIRST day the car was put up on autotrader and that was Thr night late. Im a unpaitent person to begin with and last night when I checked my mail and didnt have any I went ahead and sent a email to LightningforcePerformance about a HUGE order for my L ^-^ so this coupe Idea is sidelined for right now. Like a few of you said the miles are very high, and its NOT the color im after anyway........I want BLACK 8) When I do get my fox the entire motor is history as well as the trans so those two parts are not important on the existing car anyway.

Thanks for the input guys, and if you DO see a black notch that fits what im looking for let me know :drunk:

very true, and like I said before where i am its HARD AS HELL to find a fox car that dont have the tq boxes torn apart, hasn't been totally destroyed in a wreck, doesn't have a salvage title, or has straight frame :-[ these hillbilly rednecks are hard as hell on their stangs :(

I guess I look at it like this: If you like the car, get the car. You KNOW you're going to spend money on it. If you're like me, you're going to spend a LOT of money on it. It's good to have a nice clean car to start with.

Even though my car is now a completely gutted race car, I'm glad I started with one that was in really good shape to begin with. Was it kind of like throwing money away? Yep. It sure was. And, I lost my ass even more when I took it off the street and sold all the mod parts.

But . . I like my race car. :boink:

maybe you will get lucky and find a good condition roller. why pay for a engine and trans that you will not run in the 1st place :dunno: Dont get in a hurry and keep looking. just be patient

a black on black 5 speed notch its gonna be very hard to find and pricey. and yes notches will be very and are getting very pricey. i think theyre gonna be more expensive than a 93 cobra , an unmolested one at least down the road. i would kill for a black on black 5 spd notch :rockyou:
