If I was to get it, the car would just be a easy sunday rider until I get it in the shop for the overhaul. The motor and trans would be scrapped and the rest of the stuff would be replaced with NEW Ford replacement parts.

I could go ahead and have the brakes, suspension and such done while im making my mind up on what powerplant and trans im goig to go with. I hope this guy gets up with me so i can see how LOW he will go on the price.

If yer gonna yank everything out and replace it all... why not find an old 4 banger?

You take out the 4 banger... then you bolt the v8 in... lol... theres nothing to it on these things

I would rather have a V8 car to start with, the only things I would replace on this high mile coupe would be the parts that are worn out ( brakes, shocks, springs, ball joints.........) If I can get him to go UNDER 3k for this car I wount be any better off with a 4cyl car and have to get all the parts to swap over to 8cyl status. By the time I had everything to make it a TRUE 8 car I would have the same amount of cash in it not to mention the labor of doing the swap. Hell nice 4's go for 2k and UP here :-\

I checked my mail and he has not sent me a answer yet :(

I ran the number for ya....

I would post the reports for you but its completely pointless...

The car has never been in an accident... The car has never been involved in any insurance claims... The is clean...

I still wouldn't pay 1k over value... try n talk him down...

rofl... Brian... come out to Jackson for a week... if you want a fox ya'll be in heaven... We actually have a fox parts buffet... I got my car for 500 bucks... People up here list them way over value, and many people are retarded and pay an arm and a leg... but theres always something good at value somewhere...

Shit... I can't drive across town with out seeing at least one fox... they are more common then black people... lol...

it in Rockledge FL about 500 miles from me :( :(

ROAD TRIP !!!!!!!! 8)

shit...

if you are willing to travel that far... you should really wait...

Brian... there are some beautiful foxes out there that are priced at and even below value... I saw a bone stock 91 LX notch (302) with 76k on the clock for $3200... Black interior, In a a few minor fender benders, taken well care of, black interior, :blah2:

My word of advice is wait... Ever year around the holidays I see 3x as many for sale then the rest of the year... I guess people need the money for other shit...

Wait brian... theres a better car out there...

BTW, how far are you from 08527?

Brian, they will be cheaper if you wait till winter..no one likes to drive stangs in the snow.

I say wait... theres always something better that will pop up...

I bought my GT for $3000... A mint '94 GT vert with 76,000 on the clock...

So considering that there are well priced cars out there...

why in the world would you spend $3400 for a '93 LX with 185,000 on the clock when, if you wait, you will find something like I did?

patience young grasshoppa, patience...

i bought my 94 gt with a 178,000 on it and it has been in a accident for 3300...i dont care i love it haha as long as it is what you want...oviously if you want to make it your own get something cheap and do it but if this is the car you want to be driving i say get it its not a terrible price im sure he will lower it some and never having a insurance claim is always good ...unless it was some backwoods bodyshop guy that wrecked it and fixed it without going through the insurance lol :hammer:

I agree with Trav. If its what you want and can afford it.I would get it.I would try and talk him down.It is what it is.A notch stang in unmolested shape is a rare find anymore. Most I've lookd at were beat to shit or in the process of.IMO its one of those cars you can't always go by bb value.Like said before it a supply and demand car.Mustangs here are hard to find in good shape. If it were me I would talk him down and get it.Fix anything needing to be replaced and drive it for a while. If something better pops up you could sell it for more then what you payed for it.You know a dealer would sell it for 5k and get it.Around here anyway.
I'm still kicking myself about a 95 Impala SS I passed on a few years ago.

if you don't love the color you can find a nice red or black one, there are a lot of them. with a lot less miles and a few starting bolt ons.
just watch autotrader and ebay for a few days

not true at all, I see them daily... every month or so I see em priced good... and during the holidays theres a good 2/week...

Brian is willing to go at least 500miles for one... so that opens his window alot bigger...

Brian... wait... ya'll find something... You have a lightning and a cobra... you don't need one now... Wait... if you don't care about paying over value... you will find something unmolested in a better color with out the extremely high mileage...

I see them all the time... I'll keep my eye balls peeled for you... with a 180k on it... well, its gonna need alot...
