I want to check crankshaft end play and wondering which area in the crank do I insert the feeler gauge? And what size feeler gauge should go in?

You need a magnetic base or clamped dial indicator. You put the end of the dial indicator on the snout of the crankshaft, and use a pry bar to move the crankshaft fore and aft in the journals. Spec is .004-.008" if I remember correctly.

Here's what mine looked like when I did it.
