Clicking noise under dash

On my 94 GT sometimes I can hear a noise under the dash when the car is not on. The noise is a "click, click" and when it starts to click the vehicle wont even turn over. So I have to wait for it to stop before I can start the car. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say here. Thanks.

When your car is completely turned off and you are getting that sound, check your battery to see if you are getting a current flow. If you are, you're getting a parasitic drain. Meaning something is drawing current when it shouldn't.
