I was wondering, the further out the firewall adjuster sets the engagement height higher from the floor??? Also the cable should be adjusted so that there is just a slight bit of slack(so that there is no load on the t/o bearing), correct?? Oh and last but not least, I installed a steeda quadrant, adj cable(I know, I should have got an oem replacement), and firewall adjuster. Thanks in advance

why do you say that you should of gotten the OEM replacement one? I have the steeda cable, quadrant, & firewall adjuster and it works great. Your question though is that the closer the adjuster is to the firewall the clutch engages more towards the end of pedal travel.

quite a few folks have posted that they have broken evry major brand of adj cable.

So I am correct in thinking the closer to the firewall, the lower the engagement??

Thanks again

My car has an unknown aftermarket setup in it now, and I ordered the MM setup with Ford cable last night. My cable binds so badly now the clutch hangs up.
