clutch cable

I installed a upr tripple pick quadrant and an adjustable cable and the clutch started to get really hard and it wasing going in I took off the cable and put some wd40 in the cable and some oil and put the cable back on it was fine for a couple of days after that it got hard again its like the cable is all dried up inside with the rubber tubing is this a bad cable? I just bought from thr like 2 months ago any suggetions? Should I just go back to stock or have the cable replaced!?

the problem is the adjustable cable, they just plain suck. Go back to stock cable.
