Any recommendations on a new clutch for a '95 gt with the stock t5? My stock clutch is just starting to show signs of its age...

Talk to artsperformanceparts here on sn95forums, he can get you a spec stage 1 shipped for 219.

I am getting a Fidanza Stage 1.0 installed tomorrow I will let you know how it feels I paid $179 from AM for it compared to $279 for the King Cobra...The Fidanza is supposed to be rated for 350ft/lbs of torque LOL, more than I have right now. Hope my choice turns out good.

I had a dual friction in my '86 and beat the hell out of it for years without any problems. I would leave the line at 5500rpms without any trouble out of it. I expected it to break the way I drove it but it held up very well I must say. It also had a light pedal feel on the street so stop and go traffic wasn't a pita.

cf df for the money is awesome. i had one in my 302 setup. 560 rwhp, 100s of passes at the track and i put a solid 50000ish miles on it. gave it to a friend, his car made over 600, he used it for two years, prob 5-10,000 miles. he gave it to a friend who had it in a 400ish hp car and drove it till he wrapped it around a pole lol

I have a Centerforce DF, stiff pedal, but hooks good and is a great clutch, sad thing is mine has those stupid "weight" things on it and the are squeeking now, so it gets annoying somedays lol.

Well my car is up on the lift..Tranny is out...We found the old clutch was almost down to the rivets...the throw out bearing was shot, (no kidding) the bearing retainer shaft was scored badly and the bearing almost would not slide back & forth! The clutch fork is worn out, missing a few bolts here & there, the fly wheel needs turning of course. But all this I expected & had already bought the parts. Also discovered the rear main seal starting to seep so we are replacing that at this time too. Easy since the tranny is already out!

I can hardly wait to drive it with all new stuff in it!

Get a Centerforce clutch.
I love my Centerforce Dual Friction clutch it has held up great.
I launch at the track and shift fast and I never had a problem.
I would avoid the Spec clutches like the plauge though as I
quite a few people I know have had nothing but, trouble with their
Spec clutches.

Custom built! The only thing I've ever had that could hold up to my torture! The centerforce dual friction is a good clutch but I just broke one of them.

I just took out my CF DF with a C302 ford pressure plate and it was still holding just fine. I wouldn't hesitate to put it back in. Although with my Alum Flywheel and Driveshaft i am glad i went with the SVE mongoose Clutch cause it has more give then the CF DF Pressure plate.

My car had a little more power than yours. I broke the spring that goes around the little fingers on the pressure plate and the clutch plate itself has a crack in it. It was working fine when removed but if I wouldn't have pulled the trans and motor It wouldn't have taken more than one more dump and I might have been missing an ankle. By the way if your planning on a lot of playing at the track and on the street I recomend a blow proof bell housing unless you want to ride around with a handicap tag and an automatic one day.
