Where are these markings? I was told the front, but I dont know where the "front" is.... and, i really can't see anything around the heads.

TBH im not entirely sure, i bought my car with a blown motor so i never really paid attention to it. I put a crate motor in its place instead of rebuilding it.

The bar that looks like it is making a u-turn (best way to describe haha) is your power steering cooler.

The markings on the heads will be on the side of the head (front of the car side) like this:

You can also look for the "GT" by the spark plug at the end of the head. The "GT" stands for the GT40 Iron head.

You can't see the markings, they are cover by the PS pump, and alternator.

Also, It's too hard to see the GT marking from above.... The gasket that's on there is really thick and covers everything...

Well if I had to guess I would say you do have a Cobra motor. As far as fuel pumps are concerned the Mustang GT in 1993 had a 88lph and the Mustang Cobra had a 110lph pump. In 94/95 the GT came with a 110lph.

What about an oil cooler, should I install one?

My guess is since the GT didn't come with one, when the engine was swapped in, the guy never knew Cobra's came with one.

Nah, you don't need an oil cooler.

Alot of people removed their oil coolers because of the prenotion that they actually do the opposite. IDK how much evidence there is of that but good luck finding one anyways. to my knowledge they are specific to the 94-95's

Really? That's weird..

Umm, are the 3.8 throttle bodies smaller? I hope not, sucks, the larger throttle body on the Cobra was one of the perks that I liked alot.

Id say it was a cobra motor as well, it has the injectors and the correct valve covers. As far as your oil cooler no you shouldnt need one. Mine has one and has not leaked so that's good.

yeah the v6 tb's are like 52mm, the gt's are 56mm and the cobra's are 60mm, it is weird just cause the v6 tb's wouldnt even bolt up to that intake

the 94/95 Cobra TB should be 60mm, the GT might share the same one idk. It looks like a real Cobra motor to me, i wouldnt expect a GT engine with a cobra intake to trap 99mph, my mostly stock motor trapped ~99mph also.

Is 99mph a good trap for a bone stock Cobra?

Also, I'll get that number for the throttle body, not sure why a V6 throttle body would be on there...

I think 99-100 is about all you can expect from a stock Cobra.

My stock TB looks just like yours, it's probably the stock Cobra one.

I believe it's 6250rpm for the 5.0 Cobra engine, probably the same for the GT but i'm not 100% sure.
