The original owner of my car bought some god awful projector headlights and installed them onto my car. My car now has two plugs per headlight, a 9005 for the lows and a 9006 for the high beams and im quite certain that it never was this way originally. I want to get some OEM style Cobra lenses as i think these look the best and would fit better. I have had this car for a long time and just now am finally getting around to changing the lenses but what i need to know is what the original bulb number is, and if it uses just one plug per bulb or one plug for the low/high beams. I have never seen in person the harness for a 94/95 that wasnt spliced to hell like mine but it looks like the OEM lenses only have one plug that runs to it but want to be certain before i go out and buy them and have to modify the modified harness lol. If anyone has the information or pics of this it would be appreciated

Call Steven up at work He can get you the plug and you can redo your wires and take that crappy job he did out.

Factory headlights use 1 9006 bulb that handles both the high and low beam functions. It sucks that your harness got
cut into pieces, but hopefully you can fix it to factory function.

Hmm, I thought we used a 9007 bulb stock.

The wires you should be looking for are lt grn/blk and red/blk IIRC. Ground should be black.

Each headlight has just those 3 wires. You can get replacement OEM style pigtails at the parts store or online. Ceramic connectors should handle more heat/current. Be sure you solder these connections (even if you hate soldering) because of the amount of current going through them and the environment they will be in.

Good luck.

Are you sure your harness is hacked? The projectors come with adapters that just plug into the stock plugs and make them into a separate hi/lo harness. Make sure they won't just unplug and return to stock before you buy new stuff.

If the harness for the projectors are just plug in then when they unplug the stock plug is there. If i remember correctly it was just plugged into the stock bulb socket and split into 2.

If your wires were cut/spliced to install the projector headlamps, all you need to do is go to any of your local auto parts stores and pick up a pair of plugs for a 9007 bulb. They usually can look it up "vehicle specific" for you, and then you just cut out your aftermarket plugs and wire them back up with your new 9007 socket plugs.

I have Cobra headlights I've added to my Mustang, and one of the original sockets had cracked and was allowing moisture in. I replaced it with a parts-house $7 plug and it works fine.

(Also, I currently work ~AT~ a "parts-house" and double/triple checked. Our cars DEFINITELY take 9007 bulbs, unless the headlight assemblies have been changed out for aftermarket with different sockets)
