Cobra throttle cables

I am going to be switching to a cobra style intake manifold (with my 5.4 project) and I was wondering if I will need to switch to cobra throttle cables? I see a lot of you guys who did 4v swaps switched to cobra throttle cables. Is this just because the GT ones aren't long enough or for a different reason?

It's a length thing, the Mach 1 cable is pretty popular now, since it's still available from Ford new.

Going off what I have read in prepparation for my swap, no it isn't.

Usually after 10 years Ford doesn't make/stock new parts for their cars...they do however usually sell the research and molds/patterns to aftermarket companies who continue to make and sell the indemand parts.

so if i was putting a 4.6 4v in my car the mach 1 cables would work with a 96-98 cobra or mark 8 intake? thanks

It should work fine, only going off what I have read mind you, but they both go to the same location.
