Got codes P1518 and P1519 the other day. cleared the codes and they haven't come back.......yet....I have a 1997 cobra with only 35000 miles on it not mods completely stock....... did I have a glitch you think or did they get stuck open (IMRC's)..... I believe the codes are the controller and the butterflies (IMRC's)....... I know a lot of people sea foam their cars to fix sticky IMRC's..... but a little Leary sucking sea foam into the intake...... but I am a fox body guy that has a SN95 ...... my other option I now is to take it apart and clean the IMRC's..... as far as the controller goes I believe you cant buy them any more ????????? I had the battery and alternator checked and the are fine.....

any help is good help still learning the mod 4 valve....... thanks guys

The only real way to get them clean is to open it up and clean them by hand. While its apart clean the intake valves as well. Even with 35k on the clock you will be surprised with how much buildup these things can collect.
