I know that the 99+ GTs converted to the coil over plugs instead of coil packs like we have on the 96-98 GTs.

What all would I have to do to convert over to the coil over plug setup?

Just the wiring?

I'm really not sure it would be worth converting to. About all you would be gaining is a little better coil saturation.

and no wires would be all over the place. supposedly they are faster spark and such.

i'm not doing it for a big HP gain, just for a cleaner look and plus ive heard they are better from some other guys. i just wanted another opinion.

thanks for the link to the writeup, i will def check it out

I only have one beef with them... if they get wet, they are toast.

which is a big deal.

like i said i am going to read into them more to see if i really wanna go through the hassal.

Basically this is my plan and I know this is kind of off topic but ya:

03 Cobra Cast Iron Shortblock from MMR
MMR 900 rated HP forged rotating assembly (low compression for boost)
Trickflow Intake
I want to wait until the trickflow heads come out but they are gunna be ungodly expensive....
Then turbo cams.... which leads to i'm sure you know where this is going type deal
Turbo setup with obvious supporting mods.

That's a summary, not entire part list.. just so yall know.

I have Coil on plugs on the van, and I freakin HATE it. The stang has coil packs, and I think i will just stay with them. After all the frustration of changing them on the van, even tho you can get to them just fine on a mustang, i think i'll pass lol. I have heard "If you use the di-electric greese and make sure they are installed properly they wont get wet and go faulty" Bullshit, after having the stealership replace them twice, both times they ended up going faulty after the first good rainstorm, I'd say... Design flaw. Coil Packs all the way... Sorry about the rant, I know it dont have too much to do with a stang since you can get to them alot easier, but then again, something to consider :D

No thanks for the feedback. Any feedback related is welcome. You bring up a good point.

How much can stock packs hold power wise

its not a big deal. coil over plug, coil on plug. y'all knew what i was referring, no need to nit pick at something like that.
anyways i'm most likely not going to do it.
