ive got a day with nothing to do so im gonna do some work on my car. anyways, when i replaced my coil springs i noticed my insulators had seen better days but i reused them anyways. i have heard that not using them will lower the car a little more. is this true? also what kind of affect will they have on ride quality when comparing to some worn out ones. my ride quality already kinda blows goats as i have not the best quality springs and old shocks. give me some opinions and facts.

taking both Top & Bottom ISOs out will lower the car about 1/4 inch.

....i have had mine out with no issue.... it you want you can wrap the spring with tap, i used a rubber Bike innertube instead

I just took my front ISO's out the other day. The ride feels a hair stiffer and noticeably noisier when I hit bumps but it's a ford and it's noisy to begin with. Mine dropped exactly 1/2" which kind of surprised me (I had measured before and after). The only thing I'd consider is that I was pretty much fine on clearing everything besides speed bumps before, but with the ISO's out now I scrape on everything. I'm even thinking about putting the bottom ISO back in. I'm not sure what springs you have but my car has now dropped almost 2 1/2" from stock and I wouldn't go any lower unless you want your exhaust ripped off.

thanks for the replies fellas. my springs are 1.5 inch drops. measured them when i put them in. im just gonna try taking them out and see what happens. they are pretty dryrotted anyways and the ride quality already is not too good. they are not progressive rate springs. i dont think it will make much difference.
