so i see that the explorer 5.0 have coilpacks..I HATE distributors. I know a coilpack is far more accurate and better than a dizzy..can a 94 mustang GT engine be flipped to run coilpacks? Anyone have any info or links to this..ive been trying to search around but cant find too much on it...

the coil packs are not more accurate it is the additional crank sensor along with the cam sensor that is more accurate. is it possible, yes. is it cheap not really.

no point in doing it with a ford computer so you should go stand alone, might as well convert to speed density, then you need a crank trigger wheel + sensor / dampener , a cam epm, coil packs, ignition box

unless you need to rev well above 7000 rpm, want the absolute most accurate timing control and the ability to manipulate individual cylinder spark trims then keep the distributor :)
