Hey, just wondering if you anyone has gone from a drop in k&n to a fenderwell cold air. And if so, did you get any gains other than just appearence. heres a list of my mods tell me if you think it would be worth it.

stock bottom end
edelbrock performer 5.0 heads (1.90's)
trick flow stage one cam
half inch phenolic spacer (came on the car)
stock intake manifold
65mm tb
stock maf
JBA jet hot coated shorties
Bassani SS off road x-pip
Bassani SS catback

Thanks

Drop in will almost be as good as a fenderwell in a stock stang. But with your mods im sure it would benifit over a drop in filter. I would try to find a plastic one or even make your own for cheap. I have a BBK one and just makes so much more sence to have a plastic one in there.

I have a cold air kit I made it work from a fox body I first had the filter in the engine bay and the charge tube was on the warm side not hot but it just felt a little warm for being an intake tube. Then I put the filter in the fender and the charge tube stays cold but its almost loud in the car when I hit the gas I can hear the rush of air coming from that side of the car. now if it would help you or not i dont know but it couldnt hurt
