My 96 needles are yellowish-orange plastic, as are all the new ones to my understanding. The only ones that aren't are the 94-95 needles which are clear with paint on the back. Doesn't leave many options for color choices unless your a 94-95 owner. Red Sharpie the tops or nothing at all.
