Considering switching to shorty headers, ORX, and magnapack mufflers. My longtubes (cheapys) are pieced and are leaking, on top of the fact it's ORH instead of ORX. I got them off another car so I can't complain about being free, but I'm considering going to shortys in order to also run EGR again since all my egr is is tape around the plunger. I'm considering it, not sure on the power difference. I know that longtubes make a large difference over stock, but i've never run a set of performance shortys. What kind of difference will I see here.

Severely extend plug change times....still with LTs

If your long tubes are bad and you need replacements, I would do shorties without question.

I am not a big fan of long tubes..what 10 more hp... i'll take the extra torque in mid range rpms and the ease of getting shit done to the car then long tubes anyday.

Besides shorty 1 5/8" headers will flow more air than you'll need anywhere below 6500 rpms or so that a street car will use.

Flow has to be alot better, have you seen stock shorties? they are all crimped and kinked to make installation easier on the line, Allthough
I havnt seen stock headers for 94 95, the ones on my other engine from a fox had those hidious things. better than a manifold still
I would imagine

I have bbk shorties, any power difference between stock is probably a little but not noticeable, spark plugs are easy to change, installing one side is a real pita though. ;)

i've got the bbk unequal shorties as well. before install i did a little extra port work to clean up the extra weld pool inside the flange. i could feel a difference over stock but that was sotp, i didn't put it on a dyno, so idk

i think i might just pick up a set of BBK shorty's from a fox and just get rid of my EGR..... Just the eas to do things is so much easier with shortys... And you can make up for any slight hp loss with forced induction :) HEHEHE overkill
