Converitble top assembly replacement

So the saddle brown top on my 97 gt vert has seen better days. the tension cable on driver side has ripped out of the top, and the stitching is coming apart in multiple places. Found myself a complete top assembly frame and everything with a 2 year old black top on it for 350 bucks. i have never removed a top before, and am wondering if anyone has done a complete swap, just wondering if the top material has to come off the frame first or if i can just unbolt it from the other car and transfer it onto mine.?

Just unbolt it and transfer it over. It helps to have a second person but can be done by yourself.
