To each his own. There are a lot of people i know and have talked to that say they wish they would have stayed EFI

EFI is so easy and simple to work with you wouldn't believe it.

What is it that you have problems with? Ill gladly answer any questions you have.

Supercharging a carbd car isnt going to be cheap. What you will spend in parts you could get your EFI setup built and tuned.

well i am having a problem with it running rich, the car is mainly stock but i have put and msd coil, underdrive pulleys, and a cold air intake on it, the t/b and maf and injectors are still stock, and i had it timed, it runs great if you are just cruisin but when you rev it rapidly and also between shifts it lags out real bad, i was told it could be that i have an injector stickin but i am lost.

If u wanna go carb i wouldnt blame ya.. I changed mine over and i love it i drive it every day and never have problems.. I put a demon 750 on it and adjusted it a lil and i drive it everyday with no problems like it a whole lot better than efi..

You want everyday reliability from a built carb engine? You do know EFI was invented for many reasons, and reliability was one. Sure, you can get more power from carbs but that is slowly changing as EFI cars are defiantly running pretty darn fast now. I would never go to a carb'd car, my brother's old 80s 4 banger stang was bad enough, they are a pain to keep running in cold weather. Also, just because you're car has issues doesn't mean EFI is bad, it just means maintenance must be done :p.

You can have reliability and performance with a carb. It takes more work though but it can be done. I went through this same phase not too long ago. Wanting to go EFI-Carb. I researched a lot, ask as many questions as i could and came to the conclusion that its not the best way to go. Period. Its not as simple as buying a carb, an intake and a fuel pump. There are a lot more things that will go into play. If you dont know anything about carbs, doing this swap can actually make your vehicle run worse or not run at all. EFI is a superior design unless you are a carb guru with a lot of time and money to play around with. This is my opinion and i got this opinion from people who know much more than me.

It runs like a dream with my 750.. It a secondary vacuum so all 4 aint fillin up at once only when i nail it they fill up.. But yea EFI to Carb is expensive i have bout 5 grand in motor and transfer to carb with mine.. it would prolly be easier just to get new fuel injectors.. and it is a whole lot cheaper to supercharge a efi car..

I am looking into doing the same thing. And from reading the OP i dont think he really wants do debate is plans hes just looking for some tips or info on it. My opinion is it doesnt look that hard! You can run a 85 GT dizzy and ignition setup pretty cheap and simple. thats the ignition, than run a return style regulator on the fuel setup and there you go! Other than that you will need the intake and carb. You can also sell some of your efi stuff to help out with the funds on the conversion. Again this is just some of the stuff i have gathered and is just my opinion not facts!!! Also a carb setup can be very reliable, my step dad had a 70 Dart swinger it gets cranked 4 times a year and all it takes to get it going is a few pats on the gas and she fires right up no matter what the temp is out side.

an 85 mustang gt and a 94 mustang gt are COMPLETELY different. 94 actually has a good(well, at the time) computer in it :p.

You want to use a 85 GT distributor because its the only mustang to come with a carb and a hydraulic roller cam and a 85 GT does not have a computer.
