I used epoxy to attach a DD kit's sides to the OEM bezel. The radio mounts to the side pieces, and rests on the shelf in the other pics.
I also mounted my Raptor shift light behind the drivers side air vent. You can see the mounting clip in the first (upside down) pic.
You don't see it back there, until the light pops on.

Thank you
It's perfectly fine for me. I no longer have that same radio though, it was mostly just for mock up purposes. I run a newer Kenwood.

Did you like that other unit? Or does the new one you have use a volume knob like the old one did?

No volume knob on the new one unfortunately. I miss that for sure.
The new one has Android Auto though, so it was a bo brainer for me. Plus, the DD units with the visible CD slot drive me nuts. Just a pet peeve of mine.

Gotcha. I’m having a hard time finding one with a volume knob that I like. I’m thinking about one of those slim mount units with volume buttons instead. My s197 has one like that and it’s alright.

When it comes to car receivers, I've always been a Kenwood guy myself.
Right now, I have a DMX9707 in the car.
