My stupid low coolant light likes to come on, I have decided this is because of the low coolant sensor. Its in the cap correct? 2000 GT, also im thinking i should flush the coolant but its a pain doing it into a pan :( Should i pull the cap off and wash it up good or wait and do it with the flush?

on my 1996 its located on the drivers side of the overflow tank. its a plug.

is your car over heating? leaking? is the overflow tank cap "bulging" up? coolant level okay?

yea, inspect the wireing to the sensor for breaks/corrosion. make sure when it pops on you werent just on a hill or something. also, a flush might be a good idea. fairly simple and cheep.

Im not sure about the 2000 but my old fox overflow tank had a small leak and the light would come on so I changed the tank and a few weeks later realised I forgot to plug the wire up to the sensor but the light never came on even if the tank was empty. Maby was just a freak thing I dont know

Mine used to do that all the time. It vanished after I did the HB and pulled the sensor/overflow tank out. I cleaned the sensor/plug while I was there, so maybe dirty sensor or bad connection?
