Couple questions concerning swap.

Bought a top end gasket kit for the swap to rebuild the motor and didn't have timing chain tensioner seals. There are 2 o-rings that I can't even find at the dealer. where can I get these?

Also need water pump housing to heater hose o-rings. Can't find those either.


1 more question is do I need to drop the tranny to get the motor out and the new one in?

Dont know how to help you with the seals...maybe Napa. But no, you dont need to drop the tranny. I removed them as one but took off the intake manifold and the hoop and it came out easy....you just need to get that hoist up really high.

I cant think of what these gaskets look like...if they are just an o ring you can match them up @ napa/ local jobber

you sure the dealership doesnt sell the water pump nipple to coolant pipe o-rings??? if not just get a new nipple, almost positive they come with the o-ring, the nipples are only a couple bucks.
