I will need a new one though! I can't describe what up with it though! I've typed it about 7 times, and erased it all. It is just looking 13 years old, I guess!

Whoa saweet! Nice pull Onyx.
Mine is also warped slightly which I could probably fix, but I might pick up a used/new one for $50 if it's in good shape.

You got it man, just trying to help.

On a side note, anyone ever paint their cowl panel or mirrors with a rattle can? How'd it come out?

Why paint 'em? Because they are faded a bit?

if so, use a little deoxidizer on them...it'll bring them back like nothing you've ever seen. I found out about this by accident and beleive me, I was shocked.

Of course they are a little old looking, and i can make them shine up really good. I just want them to match the paint on the car is all, I wanted to get them painted but if i can do it myself and make it look good then i will.

I painted my cowl and mirrors with Dupli-color Semi-gloss Black trim paint. Came out just like new. make sure you do a little sanding cause the stock stuff doesn't like paint.

Thanks for the advice. I really want it to match the rest of the car, so gloss black. Whether i paint it with gloss black or base coat/clear coat i don't really care as long as it comes out nice. I just don't know how good rattle can can look.

I'd say primer them first. That is what I plan on doing when I do mine. As you know the factory horizontals look faded after the years, this should help keep the paint better.

Yeah I'd definitely sand the parts and prime them, just not sure if i should use a flat black and clear it or just use a 1 step gloss black. I don't have much experience with spray paints...

Try www.automotivetouchup.com/. You give them your stock paint code and they mix you a spray can of basecoat. I bought paint to do my taillights (Teal Met) and it matched perfectly. They also sell a Plastic Parts Adhesion Promoter that you should use if your painting plastic. You'll need Primer, Base and then Clear.
