This probably does not belong in tech/talk :bootyshake: BUT I get PM's of people asking me how the Crane 2031 sounds idle wise.

I took a quick 1 min vid of my car idling.

Here you go:

sounds nice man, that was the other cam I was considering along with the #19. what's your idle set at?

Mine is set fairly high. We set the tune for 1000 in gear and 850 for idle in park.

No idea...that is how he tuned it. I think he did that because of the issues with the 94/95 PCM's.

I'd have to ask him.

I'll add mine to the thread if you don't mind :) Combination...home ported gt40's, crane 2031 cam, 1.7 rr, holley systemax intake, frpp 70mm throttle body, mac 1/34 long tubes, upr cai, untuned through open headers in this combo. Have a powerdyne and procharger kit in the garage just don't know which one I am installing before I spend the money for the tune. Idle is around 750

I would use that Procharger WAY before I would touch the Powerdyne.

Well the procharger is way more than I need and is in an akward position on sn95's. With the powerdyne I should reach 400rwhp and don't have to tap my oil pan. It's my show car so it will never be raced or abused so belts won't break.

Prochargers are self contained systems too from everything I've ever heard so you wouldn't need to tap the pan for that either, but yes they look weird on 5.0s. As far as Powerdynes go you couldn't pay me to install one on my car, pieces of sh!t. My suggestion is sell both and buy a Vortech or Paxton.

The newer prochargers are self contained. The older P600, P600B, and P1200 are tapped.

Yep I have the p600b head unit. I know it sounds stupid that I am putting a blower on a car that I don't race, but I always wanted a blown 5.0 and I've already swapped a 5.0 into my vsux so I am gonna finish my plans. Plus I paid 600 dollars for the powerdyne kit :).
