Just looking for a sanity check. I hope that's all I need. I'm curious about how far the crank pulley should go onto the crankshaft when it's installed all the way.

When I first remove the crank pulley for my engine/clutch/suspension project this is what the end of the crankshaft looked like (taking note of thickness of the sealant by the keyway) -

Using some measurements I figured that gap shown below should be 3mm for my engine. Does that all sound about right...based on what I started with?

As always, I look forward to any help that can be offered.

The sealant is only there to keep oil from wicking its way threw the key way. Just clean, dab the sealant on the key way, and tighten down to proper torque spec.

Yeah definitely make sure you put that sealant on. I did not and I still have a small oil leak from it. Adding it to my winter "to fix" list
