crankshaft question

hey I was looking at a couple of crankshafts and on the cranshaft one had C7 and the other had C10 whats does that mean cast ?

all 5.0 Cranks were cast iron only one was steel the 69-70 boss 302 [true boss 302 with clevland heads]

Are these codes cast into the crank or stamped? If cast, this could be a "callout" stating cavity 7 and cavity 10 as they may cast them in a multi cavity mold. If there are defects found in the casting, they know which cavity to inspect.
