I'm in the process of doing a wire tuck on my GT and I want to get rid of the cruise control stuff in the driver's side fender. Has anyone done this before? I bought the car about 6 years ago and it's never worked so I thought why not get rid of it altogether. Question #1 can I get rid of the ball and the pump where the cruise cable attaches?

Question 2 There's one vacuum hose that goes from the CC setup tree to my vacuum tree on the drivers side, can I get rid of that hose plus my vacuum tree and just hook up the brake booster line to the upper intake directly instead of having both hoses connect at the tree?

Pic 2 line in question is pointed at with screwdriver

Question 3 What do I do with the line with the white stripe? It connects from the pump and disappears into the firewall? Can I just cut it and plug it up inside or does it need to be connected to a vacuum?

Last question: are there any adverse effects of doing this? I could always just cut the CC cable and leave the rest alone.

Well I got all of my questions answered, I took everything off including the vacuum tree. Now I only have a vacuum hose running from the booster to the upper intake. As far as the hose with the white line that disappeared in the firewall I was able to pull it too, it connects to the top of the brake pedal.

The one that runs through the firewall shuts off the cruise control when the brakes are applied.
