Haven't done an update on this build in a long long time. We got it to the go-kart stage, engine installed, wiring almost done, drive line is finished, seats are mounted. We are currently preparing the dash for paint, waiting for gauges to come in and we'll get that installed. I'll post pictures when I get the chance. Here is an old picture of it, when we just had it in the roller stage.

Sure is, SLA front, IRS. Here are some more old pictures. Like I said, I'll post the new ones when I get home.

is this all original ffr design? (assuming this is ffr) or is the suspension a takeoff from another production car?

I love the look of these cars when they get to the "go-kart" stage as you so eloquently put it, and yours is no exception.

keep up the good work.

I would like to hear some details on what powertrain you are going with as well.

Yeah it's all original FFR design as far as suspension goes. Right now we have a 289 out of our '66 coupe powering the car. Getting "kit cars" registered in NJ is a bastard and they make you register it based on the year of the engine block. So by putting the '66 engine in it we avoid all of the emissions restrictions. Once it's registered and all that fun stuff we will be putting a 331 stroker in it. That's the plan anyway. The '66 is very sad without it's engine and I would like to get it back together this summer. The Daytona should be ready for state inspection within the next couple months.

Yeah I love the cobras too, but I can't get enough of the daytona. It is definitely a fun project. Few months before the weather starts warming up again. The GoPros will be getting a work out when it's road worthy haha. Maybe before if I can get it to a parking lot.
