as the title states I'm wondering how hard/easy the DDM Tuning HID kit is to install. my kit should arrive tomorrow and wondering how long it should take to install and if it was easy or not it was to install. also where did you guys mount your ballasts? thanks for any help

I hid my ballasts between the rad support/battery and the airbox on the passenger side. I used the big old ballasts from like 4 years ago. Cant see them.
The DDM thin ones should be cake.

On my old car I had the ballasts mounted to a bracket I made off the bumper beam. They hung in the bumper above the fogs, very slick install, but hard to get to if a ballast ever went bad...

ok guys i just tried to get them installed and cudnt get the buld into the socket and all correctly. when id screw the bulb and all to the piece you twist to get off the original bulb off, once i got it all together what seemed correctly it would cock the bulb sideways @ an angle. everything else seemed as though we had it figured out though. ANY help would be great. or links to a DDM walkthrough

When i installed mine i had to grind off one whole side of the locking ring, cause it was hitting the base of the bulb and wouldn't let it seat properly...

prolly like onyx said its not seating properly. i didnt grind anything, just put a lil muscle into it. youll know its set when it snaps into place.

Yup. I didn't grind anything either. It's a little tough getting them in there but you should be able to do it without much trouble.

hmmm, i'm 99% sure mine wouldn't have worked without grinding it. I took the whole smaller side of the ring down to that line that goes around the whole thing. it went in like cake afterwords.
