What do you know? What am I missing? I got the latest RockAuto Email and they were talking about Mustang alternators in it and how the newer higher powered ones had slip clutches and some had decouplers, can we use them? Can we mod? Learn me.

These come on some nice Alt's. Ours use the G3 type connector/regulator rather than some of the higher number G4 but they can be changed out, I think? It would be nice to have a real Ford 200 amp output without the aftermarket crap that has given me fits for years and seem to last 18 months even by the custom builders.

just curious what are you needing 200 amps for? My alt is 220 amps but its made for high current competitions stereos, which I am planning but I didn't think anyone else had plans like this.
