Anyone play around with this software? I "acquired" it and it sems to be pretty good. If anyone has used it and knows about the software I have some questions if you wouldn't mind answering them.

I had it a long time ago, they released a 1/4 race version just after that which would be kinda cool.

It's a decent program to play around with and get an idea of which combo would work best.

What kind of questions do you have, everything is pretty straight forward from what I remember but there were some custom aspects that I could figure out.

yeah thats where I am at as far trying to figure out the heads. right now the combo I am looking at with the cam is putting 426 to the flywheel. I know that the heads are not right. What do I need to do to get the custom 2V heads for the 4.6 in there?

I don't know which version you have but I have Desktop Dyno 2000. You will have to create your own Cylinder Head Airflow Data chart. You go to the head drop down window and at the bottom of the list there is the "custom" choice. This is where you enter the flow of the custom heads you have in mind at the various lifts. You also specify valve size.

yup just like mr.oam said, plus you have to look up your specific head's flow rates.

there should be a built in list of a whole bunch of flow charts.

I have used it quite a few times. The iterator is a pretty neat tool, and I've input my cylinder head flow data and run some scenarios. It's fun to play with.

I also use it to calculate cid for various bore/stroke combinations.
