Well my car detonates at WOT only when its at operating temp. Other than that it runs perfect into then. When it gets to operating temp it also smokes a little from blow by. I have 143,xxx miles as of now. How come it detonates and can someone explain to me why does my blow by get worst when at operating temp?

there could be many things causing pinging at wot at operating tempature. you could have accessive carbon build up in the combustion chamber that could very well cause it. ive used seafoam and it has worked. you MUST follow the directions exactly for it to work properly. ive also heard of but never tried it but sucking a lil bit of water through the vaccum hose to work too. you also may have too much timing advance that could easily cause it. how much advance are you running also a list of mods would help to rectify the situation

Most 94-95s detonate at WOT. Back off your timing, use premium gas, and consider colder plugs. Not much you can do about it without a tune.

Seafoam is a gimmick. Don't bother. You're better off with a good tune up.

My 95 did it too. I had to back the timing a little. 93 octang didn't even help. Had 93k on it.

What is your base timing set at now? What about your idle RPM?

Plugs, wires, cap/rotor, coil, clean the mass air...

I had this same problem and replaced all this stuff and it didn't make a difference... turned out the dumbass before me had the thing set at 20 degrees timing... so I backed it off to 14 degrees and run premium and haven't heard it ping at all.

My daily driver is set at six degrees initial, and my base idle is a little higher than that. I would try that before you spend any money.

Also make sure you're paying attention to all normal tune-up stuff.

ive got my timing set at 15 degrees and no detonation. try the tune up like everyone said. not saying anyone is wrong but seafoam worked for me. check your egr valve too. it may be opening up when it shouldnt and that could cause some pinging

my car seems to do it bad on hot days. It sounds like rocks are flying around in my motor. I cant figure it out sometimes it does it sometimes it doesnt. I had a code for the ect and 02 sensors so i changed the ect. Ran a little better but still have to check and see if i have 02 codes. my timing is set at 10*.
