Ok so yesterday I took the gauge out of my car to clear up the plastic and color the needles red ( both turned out really good).....but.....my gas gauge seems to be stuck.....I was an idiot and spun it around a couple times clockwise because I figured out that it moved the gas gauge to empty a lil bit......is that what screwed it up? or doesn't that make a difference? it had moved a little bit towards empty before I spun it.....but when i put it back in and connected it to the car, the gas read 7/8s of a tank full......but before I took the gauge out I only had about 5/8s a tank full......now it stays about 1/10 of a tank Above full.....did I screw it up by spinning it?

I usually mark all the spots with tape before popping the needles off. then start the car and put them back in their respective places

Idk how bad off you are now

yea i marked them too......and after i was all done.....I had the cluster in my basement, the plastic off....i moved the gas gauge and the temp gauge back to their places and I watched them.....they slooowwlly move to the left...i don't know why......but yea thats not my issue.....my gas gauge is stuck....i filled up yesterday and I've taken it around town a couple times and been driving it decently hard to see if the gas gauge would go down but it won't....so far....and thats not like my car haha.....any way I can fix it? or do I need a new cluster?

I agree, it's easy to push down the needle to far and bind it up, when you re-press the needle use light pressure
