I have a Late model 1998 GT

Here are a few things...

- My 98' Came with 6 Cats
- my car came with no dash clock
- My car has a returnless fuel system
- My 1998 came with a plastic crossover, but i had the manifold changed through the Ford TSB. My manifold was used in court during the court case in trial.

98 motors are the same as 97, just the fuel system and the tune is different.

Also, 98's had the different cup holders like 1999's

Ah, Handz, the exhaust ports changed in the '98 cylinder head as well as the tune. Teksid Alum. in Dickson, TN spent a ton of money in early '97 to change the core boxes over to the new port profile when I was working there.

I highly doubt the motors had different exhaust ports in 1998.... When i swapped motors i looked at my 98 exhaust ports are they were exactly the same as the 96' motor i saw.

NPI heads are the same on all mustangs 1996-1998.

The way ford got more HP on 98 was fuel system and tune.

handz,

right now you are debating with someone with far more knowlege on the subject than you...

Just an FYI. 1996-1998 4v B-heads have the exact same exhaust port as 1999-2004 4v C-heads...

exhaust port has far less power-effecting properties than the intake port.

If you want to continue the debate, thats fine... I'm not going to get involved, because i havent seen the port (personal experience) on 1998 heads, only my 1996. But if you run GT off SN95 because he doesnt want to put up with you, ill never buy a package of shammies from you again.... mmhmm.....

We were this is why it was in the 2v tech area. If it isnt I will move this to the garage for you kids to dispute.

... i wasnt trying to hi-jack the thread lil' ladies.. just wanted to give handz a concrete example that he could easily research to show that the exhaust port on a cylinder head does not determin the intake port design... :)

On the technology side of the (96-97)/98, the P.A.T.S system which is your alarm system is located through the dash cluster I believe, and the 98's is in the PCM/ECU. This fact is irrelevant as well but the 98 Cobra has the fastest ECU processor, perfect for having a high revving car making a lot of power. People who know about this look for them, and its hard to find.
