So I didnt see a Specific Drivetrain section so I will post this here. Friday a loud whining noise started coming from the back of the car. Only when moving. So recently i just changed my Radiator and had an accident where the trans fluid leaked out. So I checked the Trans fluid and it was full so I assume its the Differential Could it just be low on fluid? or is it the bearing inside that are worn out? also I looked for the fill plug but I cant find it anyone know what side its on and where its at on the differential?

Any help would be great

Thanks
Chris

Fill plug is on the front side of the diff (drivers side if I remember right). You insert your 3/8" rachet with no socket on there to remove. Good idea to check the level. If you put your finger in there the level should come right up to the hole - that's how you know your filled up.

I had that noise happen to me, one of my load screws backed out of my T/A cover and fluid leaked out while i was driving on the highway at 80mph... so my gears and diff were kind of shot.

Auburn Pro 3.73's and 31 spline axle set later it was all good :)

So check your fluid and make sure everything is tight with no leaks.

heh actually my differential was full so while on jack stands i put the car in gear i think one of my calipers is sticking because when i press on the brake it stops even though the wheel is still moving soo that just means its time for the bullitt brakes!
