about a month ago i went to the track and ran a 13.5 at 103 mph, a 2.1 60 ft. launching at about 1,400 rpm with 28 psi in the drag radials, i have an automatic with stock stall converter, i just bought a 2500 stall converter that i should receive next week, but anyways, from then to now the only thing that i have done to the car is this week i changed the oil and filter ( all motorcraft like i always use ), changed the tranny fluid ( castrol ) and trans filter, cleaned the air clearer, spayed out the mass air and air intake pipe with cleaner, cleaned the throttle body and i put an new msd cap and rotor on with new plug wires ( ford racing ), all tuneup stuff, and the biggest thing is took the weight of the car from 3450 lbs. to 3200 lbs., well, i went to the track yesterday and the best i could run was a 13.7 at 102 mph, same 2.1 60 ft. launching at 1,400 rpms but this time i had 25 psi in the tires, that pissed me off when i saw that 13.7, i mean, i expected at least a little better than a 13.7 after losing about 250 lbs. of weight and a complete tuneup

It happens...humidity can really affect your car..it may not feel hotter but.....your times can differ a lot..you may see up to .5 seconds and 2-4 mph just from differant weather...I would worry about the car if you havent changed anything...

the omly weight i took from the rear is no spare tire, jack, and carpet from the trunk, there no back seat or passenger seat, my driver seat an APC seat with manual seat bracket, half the sound deadening from under the carpet and deadening from panels, no A/C, no smog pump, took out the front sway bar, took out the the 25 lbs. weight in the passenger side fender, no strut tower brace, and i took spare tires and put 4" hoosier drag fronts on them, the wheels are 50 lbs. off the front end alone, i think thats all so far, but recently to lose the weight was the A/C, sway bar, passenger seat, sound deadening, and front tires, the exact weight of the car 4 days ago was 3210 and 3380 with me in the car and before was 3450 without me in it

Let's see those corrected numbers, there's no way you did worse after all that, it just doesn't make sense. And for God's sake, figure out some way to fix that 60', 2.1 is SRT-4 territory

the corrected numbers are 13.42 at 105.51, i bought a 2500 stall torque converter last week, i should be receiving it in the mail in a few days, i'm hoping that will cut down my 60 ft. quite a bit, thats if i still get nearly the same traction as i do now
