WTF?

Okay so my car is funny lol if I park it at an angle (Nose pointing down) on a driveway or parking lot it wont burn oil. If i park it on a flat surface it will.

Does this sound legit? Because I was shocked as shit when I noticed that my car does this :laughing5:

I've been testing this theory out for the last week or so and oddly enough the days that I park on a flat surface it will burn oil on start up, the days i park on a slope it wont burn oil worth a shit!!

Is it possible that it's just cylinder 3, 4, 7 or 8 valves that are leaking? I was kind of worried it might be a piston ring but I guess this kind of proves otherwise? :dontknow:

Oh yeah it will go through a quart of oil about every 1,000-1,200 miles

1 quart of oil every 1000 miles isn't unreasonable...little high but not horrific.

What is it doing? Leaking or Burning?

Might be a rear main seal.

It's burning oil.

Also another odd thing about the car is doesn't leak oil from the rear main seal. It does have a leak from the front and rear of the lower intake manifold which is also a reason why it consumes so much oil.

you guys are funny lol

what i meant was if i drive it THEN turn off it and park it at an angle THEN come back an hour later to start it. It will not burn oil on startup.

IF i turn the car off and park on a flat surface for an hour THEN come back and start it, it will burn oil.

Make sense? lol

does it only smoke on start up and then go away as the car warms up? Or does it continue to smoke the whole time your driving?

You COULD do leakdown and compression tests if you want to find out the condition of your cylinders.
